Love them or hate them, visors (face shields) are here to stay but that doesn’t mean you to have to put up with faulty kit! Medical grade PPE is our specialty so we’ll talk you through everything you need to know.
Fogging
Let’s get the most common complaint out of the way first! A good visor just shouldn’t be fogging up.Get one with an anti-fogging coating on both sides. If after repeated cleaning it starts to fog either get a new one or clean with a soap/water solution. For added anti-fog protection use an FFP2 mask with a foam strip around the nose.
Slipping
The last thing you need when you’re with a client is to feel your mask slipping down, tugging at your hair or digging into your skin. Clients deserve your full attention so get a mask with a secure elastic band and foam strip to hold it snugly in place. If the foam strip doubles up as a light sweat band on hot days so much the better!
Creasing
Your visor needs to reach your chin and offer some wraparound protection for the head, it shouldn’t crease when you put it on at all. Ours use a 0.2mm PET plastic which offers strength and perfectly clear vision while flexing easily to suit the wearer.
